Two sophisticated test devices have been used to confirm the high efficiency of our toxic gases neutralizer. On the left is a Fourier-Transform Infrared spectroscopy [FT-IR]. On the right is a High Pressure Liquid Chromatography [HPLC]. The following tests have been conducted at an independent laboratory in California.

FORMALDEHYDE ADSORPTION VELOCITY TEST

Three pouches of Dr. Chameleon toxic gases neutralizer beads were received for testing purposes. A portion of the beds was baked for two hours at 300°C to desorb any adsorbed materials. Formaldehyde vapor was created by placing a small amount of formaldehyde solution in a sealed syringe and allowing it to vaporize. The vapors were injected into a sealed infrared-transparent cell [50mm path length]. The formaldehyde content of the cell was monitored using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy [FT-IR]

The cell was maintained sealed for 20 minutes and the formaldehyde content of the cell did not change. This demonstrated that the cell had no leaks. At 20 minutes five Dr. Chameleon neutralizer beads were introduced into the cell. The graph below shows the formaldehyde content of the cell dropped rapidly. Within two minutes 90% of the formaldehyde had been adsorbed and by 40 minutes almost 100% of the formaldehyde had been adsorbed.

By the results, we can fairly conclude that the Dr. Chameleon toxic gases neutralizer beads rapidly eliminate formaldehyde from the air.

FORMALDEHYDE ADSORPTION CAPACITY TEST

Three pouches of Dr. Chameleon toxic gases neutralizer beads were received for testing purposes. A portion of the beds was baked for two hours at 300°C to desorb any adsorbed materials. The beads were placed in a sealed vessel that also contained a vial of formaldehyde. The beads were weighed to measure the adsorption of vapors from the vial of formaldehyde. The following graph shows that the neutralizer beads rapidly adsorb formaldehyde vapors and continue to adsorb vapors for more than 20 days.

At the conclusion of a 20-day interval, the beads were assayed by high pressure liquid chromatography [HLPC] to determine the amount of formaldehyde adsorbed. The results indicated that the weight gain by the beads was 53% formaldehyde. The balance being adsorption of water vapors from the formaldehyde solution.

NOTE: Toxic gases adsorbent beads added after 20 minutes

The results demonstrate that Dr. Chameleon toxic gases neutralizer beads will rapidly adsorb formaldehyde from air and will continue to adsorb vapors beyond 20% of their weight and for a period exceeding 20 days.

BENZENE ADSORPTION VELOCITY TEST

Three pouches of Dr. Chameleon toxic gases neutralizer beads were received for testing purposes. A portion of the beds was baked for two hours at 300°C to desorb any adsorbed materials. Benzene vapor was created by placing a small amount of formaldehyde solution in a sealed syringe and allowing it to vaporize. The vapors were injected into a sealed infrared-transparent cell [50mm path length]. The formaldehyde content of the cell was monitored using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy [FT-IR]

The cell was maintained sealed for 10 minutes and the benzene content of the cell did not change significantly, demonstrating the stability of the system. At 11 minutes five Dr. Chameleon neutralizer beads were introduced into the cell. The following graph shows that the benzene content of the cell dropped very rapidly. Within three minutes 95% of the benzene had been adsorbed and within 40 minutes almost 100% of the benzene had been adsorbed.

NOTE: Toxic gases adsorbent beads added after 11 minutes

The results demonstrate that Dr. Chameleon toxic gases neutralizer beads shall rapidly eliminate benzene from the air.
